AND SO IT BEGINS...
My name's Harrison Woolley and I’m 16 years old. I was Born in Brighton and have lived here ever since. I live half of the time with my Mum where I’m an only child and the other half with my Dad where I’m the oldest out of three siblings; Beck, Lyla and Roux.
Both my parents are hairdressers so I’ve grown up very close to the fashion industry through going to photoshoots, fashion events and seminars. My Dad owns a business called Electric Hairdressing which started in 2007 so I was only six years old, since then my Dad has always explained to me what he’s doing and why he’s doing it within the business because of the liking I took to it all.
My interest in Fashion started when I was 12 years old because I was old enough (or at least looked old enough!) to help out on shows and events. I started to do my own clothes shopping in town, and as time went on I was known as the boy in school who had an eye for fashion. As well as fashion, I was also interested in snowboarding and skating, which is where Wisdom came to the surface.
I came up with Wisdom one night when I was sat at home looking at clothes online, looking for new clothing to save up for. As I looked at new skateboard fashion trends, snowboard gear and surfing outfits, I started to wonder why a huge majority of brands were narrowed down to one extreme sport. I started playing around with different designing apps and researching the market and came to the conclusion their was a gap in the market for fashionable clothing for skiers, skaters and surfers.
From the age of about 4, I’ve gone snowboarding every year with my Dad. I remember one year after a long days skiing we went out for dinner in Le Caveau; one of our favourite restaurants in Chamonix, I started telling him about Wisdom and explaining the concept which he was impressed with, he agreed to help me but only on the basis I was serious about it and going to give 100% commitment.
